THE MUSE

THE MUSE

WRITER I DIRECTOR

THE MUSE is a psychological drama short film premised upon the relationship between a reclusive photographer and her unknowing muse. Through the lens of longing, a voyeuristic photographer (HANNAH LEVIEN – Brand New Cherry Flavour, The 13th Summer) doesn't just capture images, but unknowingly immerses herself in an intricate tapestry of interconnected lives. As her unknowing muse (PERRY MOONEY – Gold Diggers; Population 11) discovers the photographer’s images, both fear and intrigue consume her. She must weigh the allure of the unrequited yet gratifying gaze against the potential risks it poses. In this complex narrative, the boundaries between hunter and hunted become hazy, propelling both characters into a mesmerising dance of intimacy and intrigue.
